Do I have to change my financial package to use ProducePak?
No. ProducePak will integrate with financial packages that support data importing. This means you don’t have to retrain your staff to use a new financial package.
ProducePak is very comprehensive, what if I only want to use a small part of the system?
ProducePak comes in modules, which means you can simply choose the modules that best suit your business. There is no need to purchase modules that you don’t need or require.
What if my staff haven’t used computers in the workplace before?
On many occasions, ProducePak is deployed on sites where the staff have little, or no experience using computers. Often the majority of staff can be using ProducePak productively within a few days.
I have 15 staff that will need to use ProducePak, how much does it cost for each user?
There is currently no “per seat” or “per user” cost associated with ProducePak. You can have ProducePak installed on as many computes as you wish.
Is the ProducePak suite Web based?
No. The ProducePak suite is locally based and your primary database is stored on your server at your site.
How long does it take to install ProducePak?, and who installs it?
Our specialised technicians will install your ProducePak system and test it. The installation process can take up to one business day depending on the complexity of your business and hardware configurations.
How long does it take to train staff to use ProducePak?
Depending on which module a staff member is learning, it can take a couple of days for a non computer literate user to become productive with ProducePak. Our staff visit onsite for training sessions, provide training materials, and then return (or call) shortly after completion of training to ensure the deployment is successful.
What support is provided to my staff to ensure they can continue to use the system efficiently?
Your staff can receive support services by phone, fax, email, or live chat. There is also a help page on each screen, and comprehensive user manuals are provided in printed format.
What hardware will I need to purchase?
Contact your ProducePak consultant for an appraisal of your existing computer hardware, in some cases you won’t need to purchase any new hardware. We can also help you identify a suitable hardware vendor to provide and install any new equipment.
I have some old computers, can I use them on the packing shed floor for stock and pallet entry?
If your PC is networked and runs Windows 2000+, and is 233+ Mhz, then it should run ProducePak without any problems.
Can I make my business ‘paperless’?
Yes. Using ProducePak you have the option of eliminating a lot of redundant paperwork, which saves time for your staff and makes record keeping more efficient.
Is remote access to ProducePak secure?
Yes. There are several levels of security that can be set-up to ensure your data is always protected.
Will my transport company accept ProducePak generated paperwork?
Most transport companies will accept ProducePak generated Transport Dockets.
Does it cost my customers, suppliers, or transport company anything to use the ProducePak supply chain systems?
There is usually no cost for your customers to use the supply chain systems built into ProducePak. There is no cost to your business for supply chain access by customers or suppliers.
Is my data secure?
Your ProducePak database is protected by Windows security as well as built in permissions systems unique to ProducePak.

ProducePak has a permissions system that allows you to choose which staff access selected screens and information, allowing you to give staff access to the minimum information they require to perform their duties.
Can I use ProducePak to provide quality auditors with information?
Yes. Using ProducePak you can rapidly provide an auditor with the information they require, without having to rummage through filing cabinets looking for lost documents.
Does my farm or pack-house have to be large to use ProducePak?
No. ProducePak is modular and allows you to implement your chosen modules. Research has shown you can benefit from using ProducePak if you produce as few as 150,000 cartons per year.
Is ProducePak a financial package?
No. The ProducePak suite is not a financial package and does not include a general ledger or debtors and creditors. The Financials Module allows you to integrate ProducePak with your existing financial package.
Is ProducePak user friendly?
Yes. Research from our users suggests that the system is easy to use once training has been provided.
What is scalability and how does it effect my business?
